Fantaisie, malice et fantastique pimentent la tragicom\u00e9die du trio.<br \/>\nCette pi\u00e8ce, joyeusement am\u00e8re et d\u00e9sabus\u00e9e, est une variation grin\u00e7ante sur le th\u00e8me de l\u2019amour filial. Remaniant avec brio les mythes fondateurs de la trag\u00e9die grecque, Chantal Thomas dresse un constat ironique de la permanence de l\u2019horreur au coeur\u00a0 des liens les plus durables.<br \/>\npersonnages\u00a0: trois hommes et deux femmes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LE SPECTACLE<\/strong><br \/>\nLe Palais de la Reine sera cr\u00e9\u00e9e en fran\u00e7ais les 1er et 2 octobre 2005 \u00e0 L\u2019Avant-Seine Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Colombes, dans une mise en sc\u00e8ne d\u2019Alfredo Arias, avec Maril\u00f9 Marini et Alfredo Arias.<br \/>\nIl a \u00e9t\u00e9 repris du 5 novembre au 31 d\u00e9cembre 2005 au Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Rond-Point \u00e0 Paris.<br \/>\nLa pi\u00e8ce a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en espagnol \u00e0 la Casacuberta du Teatro San Martin de Buenos Aires (Argentine) dans le cadre du festival \u201cTintas Frescas en Buenos Aires\u201d en novembre 2004.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019AUTEUR<\/strong><br \/>\nPhilosophe, \u00e9crivain, Chantal Thomas a consacr\u00e9 de nombreux essais \u00e0 Casanova, Sade et Marie-Antoinette. En 1990, elle publie, au Seuil, un essai intitul\u00e9 Thomas Bernhard . Elle est l\u2019auteur, chez Payot-Rivages, de Comment supporter sa libert\u00e9 (1997) et de Souffrir (2003). Elle a \u00e9galement\u00a0 \u00e9crit\u00a0 des\u00a0 nouvelles\u00a0: La Vie r\u00e9elle des petites filles(Gallimard, 1995) et L\u2019Ile flottante (Le Mercure de France, 2004). En 2002, elle obtient le prix Femina pour son roman Les Adieux \u00e0 la reine, \u00e9dit\u00e9 au Seuil et dont une variation\u00a0 abr\u00e9g\u00e9e et th\u00e9\u00e2trale, sous le titre La Lectrice-adjointe, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 lue au Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Vieux-Colombier et enregistr\u00e9e pour France Culture.
